These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and nocfinder, a sole proprietorship registered in canada (“nocfinder”, “we”). They apply to this website and the nocfinder app. By creating an account or using nocfinder, you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
What nocfinder is, and is not
nocfinder is an information tool. It compares job duties with the published National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 and suggests codes that may fit, with the reasons behind each suggestion.
- nocfinder does not give legal or immigration advice, and using it does not create a client relationship. For advice on a specific case, talk to a licensed immigration consultant (RCIC) or a lawyer.
- We are not affiliated with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
- Suggestions are produced with the help of AI and can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for checking the official NOC description and choosing the code you use.
- We can’t guarantee the outcome of any application, work permit, LMIA or job offer.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Accounts are for one person. Team plans include the number of seats stated on the Pricing page.
- If you enter another person’s information, for example a client’s or an employee’s, you confirm you have their permission or another legal basis to do so.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use nocfinder.
Plans, billing and cancellation
- The free plan includes a limited number of searches, shown on the Pricing page. Paid plans and their limits are also listed there.
- Prices are in CAD. Sales taxes such as GST, HST or QST are added where they apply.
- Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically each month, or each year if you chose yearly billing, until you cancel. Stripe charges your card on each renewal date and the charge appears as NOCFINDER.COM.
- You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
- Unused searches don’t carry over to the next period.
- If we change a price, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription. You can cancel before then.
Refunds
If you are not happy with a paid plan, email findernoc@gmail.com within 14 days of the payment and we will refund that payment in full. Refunds go back to the original card and usually show within 5 to 10 business days. This doesn’t limit any other refund rights you have under consumer protection law.
Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Use nocfinder for anything illegal, or to mislead an immigration or employment authority
- Share your account, resell access, or let others use your seat
- Scrape, copy or bulk-download the service or its results by automated means
- Try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the limits of the service
- Submit content you don’t have the right to share, or malware
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to store and process it, including with our service providers, only to run nocfinder for you, keep it secure and improve its accuracy. Our Privacy policy explains this in detail.
Our content and NOC data
The nocfinder name, software, design and written content belong to nocfinder. NOC 2021 descriptions come from Employment and Social Development Canada and contain information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada. Always confirm a code on the official NOC website.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, nocfinder is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will be error-free, always available, or that a suggested code is correct for your situation.
To the extent the law allows, nocfinder is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a refused or delayed application, lost income or missed opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you, including Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act.
Ending your use
You can stop using nocfinder and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where reasonable. If we stop offering nocfinder, we will give paid users at least 30 days’ notice and refund any unused prepaid period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province where nocfinder is registered. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the province where you live, including Quebec law for Quebec residents, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. Questions: findernoc@gmail.com.
